Last one of the series, I promise! And how apt that we should end with the furthest east I've ever been on the planet. No, I'm never going to stop making that joke until someone tells me to.
I could easily have included a photo of Norway's Parliament Building, or the Royal Palace, or Akershus Fortress to sum up my adventure in Norway, but given that the connection of the Norwegians to the sea is older than their country, I figured that showing this photo, of the freezing waters of the North Sea, would be an apt submission. This was taken from Oslo's main port, and what you can't see is the enormous cruise ship, floating in exactly the same way that bricks don't adjacent the historic fortress called Akershus, which has defended Oslo from Swedish incursions for hundreds of years. Somehow, I can't see that happening today, unless it was done with armaments crafted entirely by Ikea.
Hope you enjoy!
