Wings of Desire is a 1987 film by German filmmaker Wim Wenders focusing on two angels looking over the people of Berlin during its final years of division by the Berlin Wall. It's a beautiful film with thought-provoking philosophy, haunting musical score, and glorious black and white cinematography (with some color segments as well). Go see it if you haven't.
