The underside of my tail, letting you see the interior and the rings weaving the scales together. It attaches to a belt where I'm holding it, so that's not really visible. The open part rests against your butt, so when it's worn it maintains a circular cross-section pretty much.

Yeah, I really like the large scales. They're large enough that you can sort of intuit the dynamics of the material when you play with it. It's also convenient that the size sort of inherently limits the resolution you deal with, so you can work on the overall shape as opposed to details.
