Dranslin's pal, Drathek, as an adorable plush. The first part of making a nice, bug, cuddly fella for him to snuggle. :) I have some really neat velvet with a scale-print on it that I'm going to use for this one, and the belly-scales and wing-membranes are another mottled velvet. :)

I know the coloring is off with the nose plates and the hair, they need to be black (spite the picture I sent : \) He also changed a couple minor things too, i'll send you the pic he commissioned when I get it from him, having it flat colored and Drathek said it is the best exact representation of what his char is now.
*grins* It takes me roughly 72 to 90 hours to make one from the pattern all the way up to the toy itself. I spread it over a week or two so it doesn't make me crazed. I do other projects in between breaks from the big one- that way, a lot of work gets done, and I don't burn out.
Hrm? Dunno if that's a habit I've had long enough for you to know about. But, yeah, I try to pace myself, but it's sometimes hard, especially when I have a certain someone hinting that I'm not doing enough. *chuckles* Had to explain a few things about how the "artist's process" works for most folks like me. Plugging away at a problem doggedly for days at a time with few breaks for anything else for me is guaranteed to break any interest I'll have in finishing it. I HAVE to take breaks often and do something else, or I will blow my stack in frustration, especially if it's being a sticky problem for me to solve. Often, things just need to SIT, so my brain can relax and find the solution in a little more of a free-form way. A lot of people just don't understand how ADHD WORKS, unfortunately, so I have to butt heads occasionally with people.
