How did this transition happen? Most likely the forest spirit inquired about Epitaphe's unusual appendage, and Epitaphe was more than happy to show and tell, discovering that even spirits were apparently ticklish. Innocent as it all may look, one could consider this to be Epitaphe toying with his food. Hopefully, for the little fella's sake, it stays innocent!
