Hello!
I'm working on new character heads for our game (Hunt and Snare, www.patreon.com/Rufflenecks ). This is basically a "highpolygon sculpt" that will then be used to make a game model from. I'm looking for feedback and critique, anything that comes to your mind! What would you change? What is good? What is bad? ^^
Here is a Sketchfab link so you can rotate it yourself and look from different angles: https://sketchfab.com/models/3d9f2b.....b2931f48/embed

Ohhh this is a very nice sculpt! I especially love the little tufts of fur! You could maybe push the details on the tips of the ears a bit more so we can really see the fur detail as beautifully as in the cheeks. Other than that, I'm assuming the sculpted detail on the eye is temporary, right? If not then you're going to want to have smooth eyeballs since all that detail will be put in when you get to texturing your model. The sculpting in the eyes wont be nescesary at that point.
Thank you very much! :3 Yeah, I definitely need to refine the ear tips a bit more. I made a temp iris/pupil shape so it wouldn't look so dead ^^'
I haven't yet decided if I'll model in some shape for the actual eyes (makes a nice depth feel to the pupil if there's a physical hole in it) or if I'll just use parallaxing for the effect ^^

The industry standard is to have smooth eyes, so you're probably better off doing some paralaxing to get that effect. You may also get wierd lighting effects in the eyes if you carve them out. It should only be done that way for a still image rather than a character that's intended to be seen moving around.
I agree on adding in some more fur detail in the ears, though at the base of the ears I think would look really nice. Also either slightly giving her more forehead, or moving her eyes down just a touch. and maybe ever so SLIGHTY bring the eyes closer together. Other that that, it looks amazing!! I LOVE the nose/muzzle detail, and all the detail you put into the mouth, even adding that little lip. Looks fantastic :3
Thank you :3
