WARNING: Gore and violence on this text.
The helicopter started the engine before the wind could get any worse. Tetsuya Mikami, CEO of the Shiranui Corporation, one of the biggest tech manufacturers in the world and the main supplier of robot prosthetics in Japan, had crossed the glass doors leading to the helipad at the security of his own bodyguard crew: Five men dressed in long coats from shoulders to toe and covered in hoods. Their main task was no other but to watch their dog leader and protect him at all cost.
Mikami looked upon the helicopter, ready to leave the main HQ of his company. There was a sudden and unexpected matter which had made him leave. And it was getting closer and closer every second now. Mikami heard some static noise coming from his walkie talkie under his raincoat, while holding a titanium colored suitcase on the other hand.
“Bravo team here! The intruder has breached the line! Please, send backup!”
Mikami could heard one of the heads of the security team reporting his status. Before he could even answer, one of the bodyguards held Tetsuya’s arm and shook his hood to the sides. Mikami knew there were any other matters at hand. Suddenly, a thud could be heard on the same channel, followed by a gargling sound of someone choking and losing its life.
At that same place, a wolf was standing there, holding a sword stuck into the back of the same security guard who had grabbed the walkie-talkie. The grey and white maned wolf looked forward at the elevator in front of him, stacked up with several office tables to be used as a barricade, and the lifeless bodies of the soldiers who had assigned the task to hold such defense line… against the same wolf. The blood of all those security soldiers, many of those old veterans of the last Great War, were spread across the main corridor in an unpleasant mix of torn apart muscles, blood and electrolyte fuel all over the floor and walls. The wolf warrior had just taken them out, each of those cyber-enhanced guards, packed with the latest technology on handguns, rifles, even riot shields. The wolf then found his weapon stuck on the floor to one of his enemies: a huge broadsword, stainding on the cracking floor. He grabbed his side arm with his left arm and stepped into the elevator without any change on his expression, a cold endless gaze on his face. He punched the button on the elevator entrance and waited for the machine to do its work.
Mikami moved forward to the helipad. He knew he didn’t have much time.
“Sir!” the black hood behind him yelled “We shall buy you some time…”
The five black hooded bodyguards set themselves in line one next to another. A thunder could be heard far away, before the tiniest drops of rain began to drizzle over the rooftop of the skyscraper. The door of the elevator opened up, showing the grey wolf walking outside while holding his huge broadsword on his back and stepped outside through the glass doors to the roof of the building. He saw the five hooded guards in line, standing, covered in the shadows of their mysterious clothing.
“It is been a long time…” the guard in the middle said “…Shiro.”
Shiro smirked while drawing his sword to point at the personal guards of Mikami
“Stand aside. This is not your business…” The wolf said to the guards
“Is that a way to treat your brothers in arms like that?” the first hood at the left.
“You seemed out of your mind” added the second black hood.
“You should be taken as a traitor already…” said the fourth black hood.
“And never return for such acts of yours!” yelled the fifth hood.
Shiro grunted and stared at the third black hood, assuming it was his leader.
“So… what are you waiting for?” Shiro asked.
The first hood suddenly threw the clothes away in order to blind Shiro. The wolf opened his eyes in reaction and slashed the black fabric with a quick slash of his broadsword, cutting it in half in the air. He then noticed something leaping towards him in the air: a slick bodied cat girl with her leg ready to unleash a flying kick. Before he could even blink, the girl kicked Shiro’s chest and made him crash into the glass doors. The glass cracked into bits stuck together, glued by the safety membrane like most skyscrapers usually do. The cat girl’s legs landed safely before showing each of their prosthetic tendons and muscles.
The second hood moved forward and walked gently before tossing around his hood around. A slick rabbit guy, dressed in a carbon fiber suit, showing a full prosthetic right arm, suddenly drew a blue glowing plasma whip out of his wrist, as if almost ejected out of his body. The rabbit boy began to crackle his whip at Shiro and took advantage for being stunned by the impact on the glass to severely hit him over and over again. Shiro could feel the burning slashes of the whip on his fur, sizzling like fresh meat on a grill, before the rabbit buard stopped and held the wolf by the neck by powering down the plasma force field of the whip.
“How dare you… leaving us… we were brothers!” the rabbit said
The rabbit boy stared while holding the middle ring at the hilt of his whip: the power regulator of the plasma field. One flick, and the whip could slice the neck in no time. But instead, the bunny just decided to press and choke the neck of Shiro more and more, just to make him suffer. The rabbit decided it was enough, then released him, followed by a grunt of displease.
The fourth hood ripped his outer clothes apart, showing a gorilla with his back covered in pistons and a metallic framework. He giggled as he got closer to the intruder wolf and stomped on him on the safety glass, laughing like crazy like a bully to its victim. He kept stomping more and more, before the glass couldn’t hold Shiro anymore and it fell apart.
“That was fun!” the gorilla yelled before running on his limbs and kept his laughter in a lower but still cringing tone.
The next guard, the fifth one, tossed her clothes. A tigress, showed her face with a frown before grabbing Shiro from the chest like a puppet.
“WHY!?” the tigress asked “You dare to be hired by someone else… and leave us like that!?”
The tigress tossed Shiro on the ground again and kicked his unconscious body again and again, yelling in an almost despicable way. She was mad.
“I trusted you! We had so much together! But you… you decided to leave us and kill our boss too! That was the last straw!” said the tigress, before kneeling down at the beated down body of Shiro
“I… loved you” the tigress whispered, before two tears drizzled upon her eyes into her cheeks. She then washed her tears and moved back to the line.
The hood in the middle, the third and last one, walked towards Shiro again, looking how there was not much strength left on him. The wolf tried to stand and recover from such a barrage, a punishment amplified by the enhancements of those cyborg parts he was just witness to test and try. As soon as Shiro was on his knees, the black hood had already grabbed him from the neck and lift him like a puppet on its strings.
“Shame on you, Shiro. I knew you couldn’t withstand your… choice to become like us.” The last guard explained “But you see… how, we have been enhanced. This is our evolution after all, as warriors, as life forms. But you decided that your body is what you are. That is the pitiful thought of any inferior being…” the guard kept going with a grin.
“Well then, my old friend…” the guard said, he then removed the hood on his cloak and showed his head, covered in the most complete assortment of cybernetic components: each muscle and tendon had been swapped by actuators and servos. What used to be the face of a male fox, had become into a mechanical facsimile of the creature, covered in the glistening watery shine of chrome plating.
“Farewell…” the last guard said.
The fox guard then tossed Shiro from the left arm, making him cross the whole runway of the helipad, before crushing into the helicopter before take-off. Mikami watched the best of his product in action, while the sheer force of Shiro’s body made him fall together with the now damaged helicopter, and fall into the air beneath the rooftop into a huge fireball upon the city.
No one knew what could happen to Shiro. The fox guard smiled while looking at his prize: the removed left arm of Shiro, holding his huge sword, A perfect trophy. “Threat eliminated, sir. Awaiting your orders…” the last guard smiled, throwing away the broken arm he just acquired as an useless trinket now. ‘Such an organic failure’ his mechanic brain could think.
However, revenge can cause unexpected surprises to anyone…
