Many thanks brohamian! And yeah, all it takes is some shortening of the legs, and all that buff bulk is amplified exponentially! But I sure am a fan of the burlier versions of Beast. The 90s' show had him pretty swole, and the new Amazing X-Men comic shows him as a super strong monster, so I'm definitely on board with those designs!
Oh yeah! I, didn't realize how easily reversible the context of my sentence was--I'm definitely agreeing with you! "He's even less of a beast, now that he's posed like this!"
Yet another 'dual aspect' that makes me love Beast so much. He's super strong, but super intelligent. He's a power fighter, but also extremely agile. He's known as a beast in looks, but he's a charming scholarly gentleman in his mental capacity--so many places where he breaks away from stereotypes, to show that "yes, you can be both a wrestler and a super scientist! You can be a beast and a gentleman! You can be a star athlete but never talk about it because you have better things to do that are more interesting and complex than having that one single character trait your entire personality is based on...!"

You should regret nothing. This piece is amazing and so wonderful. It really captures him so well and his personality. Beast is the best and you do some of the absolute best renders of him. Every detail is so well thought out and he looks so real I could reach out and touch him. The image also retains that wonderful style you have of making it feel like the image is a still from a movie. You really have an exceptional gift and thanks so much for sharing that gift with us all. ^_^

Yeah, I'm definitely a fan of cinematic elements. I might actually try rendering some movie-like scenes just for practice, with letterbox bars and everything, just as a specialty project. I already put borders and stuff around most of my renders, but I wonder what results I could get if I tried to do a 'movie slides' sort of series.

I love The Beast / Hank McCoy. He's always been my favorite X-Men character. The vast majority of X-Men fans prefer either Wolverine, or Cyclops, or Jean Grey, or Storm, or Psylocke, or Rogue, or Colossus, or Shadowcat or Nightcrawler and so on.I do not . I've always had a fascination and a special love for The Beast of the X-Men. He was practically the character who created the concept of "bestial" superheroes when ingestion of the mutagenic chemical compound in the attempt to become human it has become a beast-like creature mutant with one of the most "beautiful" visuals for a "Beast". After Hank McCoy, every super-team that was in charge had to have a "beastly" superhero as a member. He is one of the most charismatic superheroes I've ever met: brilliant, gentleman, gentle, super-strong, super-agile, super-fast , skillful athlete, wrestling fighter, powerful combatant, scientific genius, charismatic, romantic.
