The ears! The ears! so round and fluffy! :D Frith they look soft...
This is going to be one awesome Hyena, can't wait!
Something seems "not so hyenaish" but I can't put my finger on it and it's driving me nuts. Maybe it has to do with the angle of the picture combined with the coloration that gives a false idea of the muzzle shape...
It's always a pleasure (and a humbling experience since you put so much effort in mastering them from the start) to see you tackle new species I haven't seen you play with before. :D

I know what you mean about the muzzle, and I'd have changed it if I'd seen it earlier, but it doesn't detract from the head (in fact just makes it more unique) so I'm keeping it ^_^
I'm glad you like it - it was a bit harrowing making something so different and I had to consult a few people to talk it over. Even as just a soundboard, that's incredibly useful.

This definitely looks good but the way the head slopes down doesn't remind me of a hyena, it reminds me more of a german shepherd. Hyena's heads slope down very smoothly, and the way the head slopes down in this looks more like a dog's head to me. That's just my opinion but if you do compare it to a real hyena (http://blog.londolozi.com/wp-conten...../Hyena-Pup.jpg) this seems very dog-like. Otherwise it does look fantastic and I think I'd still enjoy owning it. Though it would look better with a more smooth slope and a little shorter muzzle so it looks less dog-like. A good tip to keep in mind is that hyenas are not canines, but are more closely related to felines.
