Tremors of the overpowering emotional pain shook his gargantuan body, as if he were suddenly no stronger than a leaf being blown by a breeze. All the people he'd hurt, all the suffering he'd caused, the fact he never reconciled with his family...his friends, it felt like his very being was going to be crushed beneath these horrible realizations. With his head buried within his muscular arms he continued to weep softly, the tears demanding to be shed with such intense insistence that any attempt to withhold them was too horrible to bear. Though he had regained his life that night so long ago, he had lost the person whom he was meant to be. He had always been dead, the young gorilla who longed to fight and defend his homeland had perished so long ago...Simon had no longer existed.
There was only Sergeant. Simian.

This is a fanfaction primarily based off the events and characters of the ‘Archie Sonic Comic’ series, to newcomers of the characters; I’ve done my best to describe their past events so you’ll know just who they are! Some characters and events from the series have been omitted to focus primarily on Sgt. Simian…but provided this is received well, there may be following chapters/artwork, as well as a comic or two illustrating his ‘new’ adventures that will include more characters Simian/Simon was associated with during the events of the comic
