Here's a rough reference for a new character of mine, Dreamweaver! I'm trying to get a more official reference commissioned soon, and hopefully a fursuit in the near(ish) future!
Yes, he should have two arms; I just wanted to make the shape of the wings clear. Also, I'm lazy.
[Character Concept]
Dreamweaver is an optimistic avatar of ideas, dreams, and inspiration. His purpose is to cultivate the creativity of everyone he meets.
He is not a flesh-and-blood creature, but is instead a physical manifestation of these ideals themselves. His physical appearance is
impermanent, and merely reflects whatever his preferences are at the time. However, the form described below is his most common
appearance.
He wears across his chest a large object reminiscent of a dreamcatcher, the purpose of which is to catch and distill creative thoughts
during daydreams and flights of fancy, ensuring that fleeting bursts of inspiration are never lost. These are later refined and given
physical form as items in his bag of wonders.
His bag of wonders is a seemingly bottomless bag containing wondrous items to delight and inspire, such as gemstones, kaleidoscopes,
small toys, or other objects evoking awe or inspiration. If you chance upon an interaction with Dreamweaver, he would be overjoyed to
show off something from his collection, and if you are particularly lucky, he may allow you to keep it! It is said that such gifts are
coveted and cherished by artists, creators, and dreamers everywhere.
Like Dreamweaver himself, his bag and dreamcatcher are ethereal manifestations whose appearances change over time. Generally
though, the dreamcatcher is very large and white/off-white, and the bag resembles a carpet bag or doctor’s bag.
[Physical Description]
Dreamweaver is a large, bipedal, digitigrade, furry dragon-moth creature. His fur is primarily snow-white, with accents of baby blue
and light pink where noted.
His eyes are a white void, with no visible pupils or other markings. Between and slightly above his eyebrows are tiny pink conical
horns (~1 in), and larger (~6 in) horns are located higher and just before his ears. His ears are large, fluffy around the edges, and
upright, evocative of those of a hare. The interiors of his ears are pink. His mouth is slightly open, with a soft pink tongue visible,
surrounded by soft white teeth. He wears a happy, joyful expression with a large friendly smile.
He has a fluffy white horse-like mane that begins at the top of his head and extends along his back to around 1/3 of the way down
his tail. His chest, upper back, shoulders, thighs, and crotch are also covered by longer, fluffy white fur which (along with his mane)
is tipped with light blue highlights. His tail is roughly half as long as he is tall, with a pink underside.
Each upper arm has a ~2-inch band of light blue fur in the middle. His hands are white, have a pink pad, four fingers (including
thumb), and are generally cartoony. Each finger has a pink pad and a small, soft, white claw.
His feet are digitigrade, and have a pink pad on the ball of the foot. They each have 4 blue toes, which are pillowy, cartoony, have
white claws, and pink pads.
Two large wings sprout from his back, consisting of five feather-like segments on each side, evoking an image of a hawk with wings
fully spread. Each segment should be only slightly curved, tapering out very gently along its length until tapering sharply back at the end.
The wings should be spread evenly, with the upper segments pointing roughly 30 degrees above the horizontal, and the lower
segments 60 degrees below. The middle segment should be the largest, the two neighboring segments slightly smaller, and the top
and bottom are the smallest. Each segment is blue at the tip.
