You're a fantastic artist and this turned out pretty great.
It's not safe to look at the sun during a eclipse without glasses except during the 1-2 minutes of totality. If you guys get an opportunity to see full solar eclipse then do it because its an unforgettable experience. Pictures that I took in my backyard: http://imgur.com/a/Wc89z

Believe me, I went to go see the total eclipse, and I can confirm that the few minutes of totality is enough to convert the eclipse from a "Huh, that's pretty cool" to a "Wow, that was freaking awesome!"
Fortunately, there's another one crossing the US in October, 2024, so if you want to go see it without flying halfway around the planet, then would be the time to do it
