Sammy soaked up some tears since I got him 7 years ago and has listened to a lot of my sorrows, since he officially took over the job from my 38 old teddybear who retired because of old age and damage (but of course stayed in my bedroom).
So I am glad to have him

(Yes, Sammy is real)

very nice picture - however, when I first saw the thumbnail of the image, I thought sascha was putting him in a box... like sammy died or something... :x
also ghostbear, did you know there are plushie hospitals out there? I read the comment about your bear and immediately thought of Doctor Beth (https://doctorbeth.tumblr.com/). she does really amazing stuffed animal restoration - it might be worth checking her out for the sake of preserving your bear. heck, maybe sammy could use a spa sometime!

I'm not living in the US, so that might be a little far. ^.^'
And Ben is, more or less, in one piece. He just became very brittle by being almost 40 and that is something nobody can solve.
But he is alive, sitting next to my bed, wearing some Build-a-bear clothing and a Bandana. And he had a very long talk with Sammy, officially passing the torch to him.
He still gets some hugs, but I have to be very careful

ah, yes. I suppose it is a bit far. however, you wouldn't be the first to send in a plushie from far away! I think I recall one from china at one point.
I can understand the brittleness, but hey, love wears you down! as long as he's not completely falling apart, he should be alright :)

Sad emotions are necessary sometimes, but they also make a picture a bit more critical to pull off. And you did such a great job.
It's funny, because while being awesome all over, the tiny little detail that hit me the most was the teardrop on Sammy's paw. Our favorite plushies soaked up so many of them in their lifes (and the real Sammy is no exception) and always offered comfort.
I am also happy that you could enjoy working on a different set of emotions than only happy ones (I know that sentence sounds a bit strange, but I really am)
