Just a WIP cuz i have no time to finish anything for the next month. One of a couple pics to bow to the end of Summer...
Pencil and ink go back '98 - '06 - somewhere around there. Tried colouring it around '08 ??? - there changing the colours to my character Darleen (who i have not posted about before?) - a short comic about a shy kitty at the beach, a rude bully, and and a guy who stands up to him and gets punched...cute little comic...will post it someday soonish...
This is just flat colours with a bit of airbrushing - finished version will have fur fx, wood grain, etc...prolly colour lines...etc...
Sorry for lack of time - unusual work situation...another end of summer pic soonish...Maybe with Fall i can start posting the new/old Emma and Ash real media Ink drawings that have been gearing up to starting work on series...
There's an alternate version of this pic where the "No" on the sign has been crossed out...just sayin'...

Imagine my surprise when she walked shyly out from behind that wall and onto my page - with her bottle of strawberry flavoured "Kiss And Tell" tanning oil (yep, that's what the label says ... flavoured tanning oil ??!? - She may be shy, but she has some bolder dreams in mind...)

Thought i'd start off the ruogh with he low saturation magenta shading is popular with some furry artists, - but it looked un-natural -
so i shifted it over to bit more purple ... but still not right -
A simple daylight scene has three light sources - the sun (pale yellowish white); the sky (blue - combined with optical opposite of sun light makes it a bit blue-purple); and the bounce light from the environment ...i haven't added the highlights from the sun yet nor the bounce light from the walls/floor/canopy/etc - so the colours are off, but, yea, the basic shading helps bring her form out ... values...etc ...maybe some colour lines? ...so much a WIP....
