looks good to me. I like the heavy breathing, it gives the animation a good effect.

It's not bad at all, especially for your first. There just need some leg motion to match with the upper body. :3

My first attempt at pixel art was... 'abstract'. It looks really good from far away.. you know what I mean? Like pixel art isn't supposed to be so hot all blown up big and crap! And yes... the bouncing nipples... are... hyp...no..tic.......*drool.....*

That's actually pretty good. I think the only thing really "off" about it is the lack of leg movement.

It's not bad, it's got a really retro feeling to it. If you wanted it a bit more modern then you could have done something with the lower body as well.

So far as sucking go, dun think so. This looks a lot like it coulda been ripped right out of Street Fighter 2, quality wise.

this is pro. so dont beat yourself up. just add some motion to the legs, as slight as possible, if you can fit that within that low pixel canvas, and pat yourself on the back!

It reminds me of early gaming when I was a kid, Street Fighter, Streets of Rage that sort of thing.

The biggest issues are his belly and his legs: particularly the third frame on the belly,the progression of the shadow is maybe too drastic ,you should smooth it a bit (i mean, make it more similar to the previous two frames) also remember to make the sprite move with each frame, i'm talking about his right arm and the legs:even if they are still you should have the pixels move slightly of one pixel in a proper way, so it gives you the feeling of something more alive ..it's kind of hard to explain with words, i'll show you when i catch you online.
Anyways, for a first time this look rather sweet X3 looking forward for updates on this one X3

It certainly isn't bad, but possibly needs a bit more attention in certain areas. AAing and some additional animation points might give it a lot of polish. :D

Pixel art is a tough art.

Like I told you last night, the other one is better, yes, but this one isn't bad! For me at least, it's got more of a "classic" sprite look to it. I really dig it.

You're too harsh on yourself. With all the high-quality stuff you've always done, I guess that's natural. However, I wouldn't say this one sucks. The shadow on the bottom half of the belly is too contrasting and therefore draws too much attention to itself, so I'd say that part could have been better, but then again there are people who liked that.

Do you do a lot of pixel art?
If this is a first attempt at pixel art it's fantastic, even as a familiar medium there is nothing wrong with any of the still an the animation is well done too except for the last belly frame, the shadow seems to creep too much and the legs need some movement.

I love the belt buckle, its a nice little touch that adds to it.

Is it odd that this reminds me somewhat of that old BlackThorne game for the SNES/PC? It's probably a mix of the colour scheme and the enlarged pixels. This is solid work, it's hard to appreciate how small the sprite actually is at first.
