Sekhmet of the Rahnen Sect (Eyes of Fire; Fighting/Battle Sect) and Teppa of the Kaddash Sect (Faithful Star; Green Rhythm Sect).
Sekhmet's a hardcore Warrior; Elite Sand Rider and practically the commander of the entire Barkule military force. The Rahnen have a nickname as the 'vanguard' of the Barkule, and come from an extremely long line of Warriors. Sekhmet is the Head of her Sect. Dig it?

Teppa comes from a long line of Healers, and his Sect was all but wiped out during the 50 Year War. He and two of his direct family members are all that's left; the Head Family was killed. He's a damn good Healer, very intelligent, and (as a New Sander) is savvy in the ways of the Offworlders. Add to this his knowledge of Barkule politics and you have a rather clever young man. Good friend, bad enemy.

Long story short he wormed his way into Sekhmet's team that was on its way to Aquas, going so far into weasel his advice (good advice more often then not) into her decision making. He got close to her; actively so. By the time they left for Aquas she placed him as Second in Command and the other Elite Warriors were none too pleased. But Teppa is smart. Real smart. And he's their medic. You don't mess with the field medic.
Basically, the lot of them would be dead at this point were it not for him.

Over the time passed the two have grown a crazy-sibling like bond. Teppa's probably the only Barkule in the galaxy that can not only exchange banter with Sekhmet, but often times muddle her up in the process and confuse the hell out of her. All without getting killed. He's helped her relax some, helped her gain a sense of humor (she's getting better at it), and, on the side, is teaching her various Healer techniques and Sect politics. The Clan is in shambles, even if no one but the Barkule can see it. Sekhmet will play a large role in putting it back together, and Teppa knows it. He's just gonna make sure she does her duty, and is very particular about keeping himself within her good graces. His motives aren't known, but he's become one of the few who the Rahnen will aptly call a friend.

They're an interesting pair, they are. Just wait until they return to the Clan; surely all hell will break loose. After all, since when does a /Rahnen/ take a /Healer/ as their personal adviser?
