With the very fabric of reality under his complete control, Hellfarch could make himself any size or shape in an instant with but a thought. However, he finds much more enjoyment in changing his size over time, feeling his mass increase, his muscles swell, his very presence consume more and more of the space around him. He knows that everyone else loves it too, no matter how much they cry otherwise, which is why he likes to put on a show for the people around him and give them what they crave. Those on the rooftops have especially good seats, as they can watch him tower further and further above them, and they are much easier to reach for the more interactive parts of his performance.
I made a did a doing an aminamation animadoo! In the space between summer and schoolwork really picking up, I decided to try getting my feet wet with animating my rigs for the first time since that Lord Piesac walkcycle I made over a year ago. Even after that, I've always been apprehensive about giving animation a shot, but I felt especially inspired to make a short thing like this, and it wasn't as hard or soul-crushing as I had feared it would be. I learned some nifty things along the way that make animating in Maya much less tedious, and I also managed to work out a rough rendering pipeline that's fairly quick to iterate on.
Sadly, this isn't part of any sort of bigger animation, but now that I know I can do small shots like this, I might make something more in the future!
