Naturally, there is mail waiting for me after I go on a trip, so when I got back from MFM I started sifting through what the postman done brung me.
Most of it was junk, so it went straight to the garbage, leaving me with bills and a variety of mail I judged might not be junk. This one looked like your bog-standard mass mailing, where you have to remove two perforated tabs on either side before you can open it. It's usually a loan consolidation or mortgage refinance offer.
What I absolutely did not expect was the content you see above. I am a self-published author, and used a total of $4500 of my own money to get those three books in print.

As far as I can recall, this is the first check I've gotten this year, and I can't recall if I got one last year, or the year before that. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to cash or deposit it; I'm not fucking stupid.
