Trapped away in his lamp for thousands of years, he lays in wait for the next mortal to stumble upon his antique prison, give it a rub and grant him a generally short lived reprieve from his entrapment. In exchange for this waning liberty, he offers his 'master' 3 wishes. Be weary: Hubris and Ambiguity have cost many a master much frustration and loss.

He's generally a kind soul, not one to knowingly trick his masters with their non-specific wishes but he has no qualms about screwing with less than pleasant masters and leaving them with less than they started with before meeting him. He has a soft spot for ale and lamb, his favorite meal (As his swollen belly can attest). He does try to get his 'lamp rubbed' during the period he is freed, for being trapped for so long leaves one incredibly pent up.
