Quick sketch of a 1950's car, obviously heavily modified with period correct, such that it destroys literally every other vehicle on the road, even those fancy european sports cars. Obviously not the most aerodynamic, but even that is fixed with enough stolen Formula 1 parts :P
Whomever built it surely knew what they were doing, using a suspension setup popular on racing cars of the time over the bulky live axle to corner better than most cars on the road at the time. The massive engine and quick shifts of the sequential allows this car to soar to speeds not even the police cars at the time could reach...no one said it was going to be stable going that fast though :p
Don't know what I'll do with this vehicle but here's a text ref:
Vehicle: 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air
Chassis: Body on ladder frame
Engine: 1.5L Supercharged V16 "borrowed" from a formula 1 car from the 50's, 600hp
Transmission: 5 speed sequential manual (also "borrowed" ;) )
Steering: Rack and pinion no assist
Suspension: Double A-arm front, DeDion dead axle rear. Both negative cambered for unrivaled handling
Wheels: Totally borrowed from that race trailer over there. Nice n grippy (for 1950s standards)
Brakes: Two brake calipers per front wheel, drums in the rear (that smoke like crazy). I hope you love Asbestos cuz there's plenty of that:P
Interior: A steering wheel, a seat, and a lap belt...5 star crash safety ratings I know
Weight: ~3000 pounds (1360kg)
Aero: wait about 10 years for that
Features:
terrible NVH
terrible ride quality
terrible gas mileage
terrible safety standards
great handling
straight pipes
a steering wheel (that actually works)
an angry person trying to find out where his racecar parts have disappeared
Rocking around the clock intensifies...Feel free to comment and such
