I wanted to see what it'd be like if Ashbel was a true FTM character. He's honestly the closest thing I have to a "fursona", and I already have Masato as an "intersex" cuntboy.

The reason I never made Ashbel transgender and instead opted to have him "born that way" was because I really didn't want to deal with the "before". I like to think out what makes a character who they are, and I didn't want to vet out what Ashbel was like as a female, what his name was, any of that garbage. I also worried that making him FTM would make people view him as not a "male" character, but as an FTM character only. And he is male.

But I'm at the end of my own transition, and I feel like now, Ashbel should be comfortable with his. Art of him may now vary between pre- and post-op, binder or scars, but we're gonna leave him without bottom surgery. Modern science hasn't figured out knots yet.

Besides, he likes being a bonus hole boy.
