For this attempt, I wanted to make something that makes you think of peaches. Does it make you crave each pie? :3c Hey, I like peaches.
I did yet another standard spiral, but I had a reason: It enabled me to red-back the shirt to create a red "spokes" effect to further the design's abstract resemblance to peaches, especially the way peach flesh changes abruptly in color from yellow to red nearest to the peach pit.
I made this with a 100% cotton T-shirt and Tulip-brand red and yellow dyes. Instead of soaking the shirt in soda ash solution like my previous attempt, I put soda ash solution in a spray bottle and sprayed the shirt until it was damp enough to start dyeing.
