One of my ancestors, Don Cortador Gato de la Brea was the explorer who discovered the site of the present day Fangtropolis. Well, not really. Fangtropolis (the "other" anthro city) is the theme for 
fangcon which is coming October 19th - 23rd of October... really soon now. I am sure that everyone who knows me will soon discover the Easter egg in this picture, which has been attributed to none other than Michelantelope, the great Renaissance painter and sculptor.

Ever since seeing that gag on the old Bugs Bunny Cartoon "Hair Raising Hare", I've been wanting to build a prop painting with removable eyes so a person behind the portrait could spy on people on the other side. ...Just as long as some wise guy doesn't pull the "Moe Howard" two fingers poke the eyes bit. This Smilodon fellow looks too Jolly though.
