To this day I still love my SR-1's. My Canon 20D has since replaced them, but nothing handles like my old Minolta's.

Why is it the minolta guys like us go to Canon, and the Olympus nerds went to Nikon for digital? I notice this alla time lol.
I got the xt rebel and I need to eventually upgrade cuse its getting old and I already broke both lenses, well they broke from normal wear n tear, but still, im not used to the plastic body and lenses yet so I might might go with a magnesium bodied E1 or e500 olympus just cuse I wind up in hazardous places all the time with my gear and i dont like having to keep my camera from touching stuff as I climb rocks or around in buildings >.< lame, I dont wanna worry so much ya know?
My gear holds up i mean i dont kick its ass but i dont want to pay too much for something that if i fart too hard near it ill fuck up the display or scratch or crack it.

my 20D has been through hell 7 back with me. I got it used with a 28-135 ultrasonic lens for 600 bucks. Probly the best investment I made in my life. even though its a plastic frame, dose not make it weak. Canon is FAR ahead of Nikon, & cheaper! Nikon in my opinion is a bit snobby as well as their users... least it seems that way. None the less I think Canon is a hell of alot more professional that Nikon. I can't wait till I can get the 5D Mark II!

I was in a camera shop and this guy kept trying to sell me this Nikon coolpix camera and I said yeah i had one they suck, and then he tried to sell me the wrong lens for my camera I said "I have a minolta and he said "pfft oh, haha, a minoooOOOolta, yeah there's great camera..." I was like what do you use, and he was like "Me, personally I simply adore Nikon"
I was like, "I bet you own a Mac too, he said "Of course I do, you can't do real art with a PC." at that point I laughed and told him "Youre a fuck up." and left.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1056154/ this is the canon I bought, back when it was the new shit lol, I only paied 400$ for it and 200$ for the two lenses, a hell of a deal cuse at the time it was selling retail for 699$ for the body alone. Its served me well for the past 5 or 6 years, but with all the little things that wore out on it, like the jacks for the remote and video out and there being no flash connection other then the hotshoe, it really dose need to be replaced. I mean the CCD pickup has a few light scratches and blotches that wont go away and no one notices them but me kinda things, but all in all i love it to bits. I really just need new lenses and ill be good to go for another few years.

Er sorry it was 40)$ for the lenses and body the body was 200 and the lenses were 198, well worth the money for sure.

sadly its shutter lens is stuck open halfway, do you know Any way to fix em? i heard some cameras do this but no solid source to find a fix, so far i think its battery died at the worst time during the shutter movement, but im not sure anymore as it would of slap closed

have to take it apart. check the shutter curtain and firing mechanism and lens mechanism make sure there is nothing jamming the gears. its very fiddly and time consuming but if you're careful you can fix it
