I have to say: I am freaking loving the first Halo (Combat Evolved).
The game has that feel of late 90's and early 2000's that I love in FPS games (like Half Life, Counter Strike 1.6, Doom, Quake... And the list goes on)! That seem like isn't much of a thing anymore.
Seriously, the only three games that I can comeback which the gameplay is either simple to learn, hard to master, it's fun as if... Addicting as hell... At least on the newer generation is: Team Fortress 2, Overwatch (maybe) and the last Doom revival (or Doom 4 if you prefer). It's astonishing how the FPS genre have changed over the years... I still can't believe that Call Of Duty will be back to WII, and Medal of Honor is a dead franchise.
The plot aren't really nothing big and mind blowing... But hey! It's a pretty enjoyable science fictional universe I feel in love to dive into! I just can't get enough of it's expanded universe... There is so much to know and explore... I also will have more 4 games as soon I finish awaiting me...

I really loved the first one. It was actually the first FPS I ever played. I still think it's awesome to this day. Heck, Two weeks ago I even went out and got an Xbox 360 so I could play the anniversary edition and finally Halo 3. There also seem to be several other good games for the 360 like the Perfect Dark Remaster.
Counter-Strike, Doom (both the old and new one) are also games that I love ^^.

Yeah, I see your point... It does give a feel of nostalgia while playing this game, even through is my first time!
I'm not sure if the Xbox 360 has the same gimmick, but the Xbox One version allows you to play the game using the old graphics and texture!
All you need is to press the menu button.
That would be the back button on the 360 right?
Funnily enough, I don't remember my first FPS... The far as I remember it might be something from the late days of windows 98, early days of windows XP or maybe even from the PS1 or PS2.
Now Prefect Dark is a remaster I must play.
