Hey guys, I decided last week to continue with Rocky Patel, and with Chad's suggestions, I'm making it a special edition review month that will surely be a great month for reviews. I'm starting off with something bold and rough x__x
Wrapper: Honduran San Agustín Habano
Binder: Honduran Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan, Costa Rican Triple Ligero
Pre-Light/Construction:
The wrapper from appearance oily and smooth as shit. Such a shine came off. The color from the band itself was very inviting, but intimidating from the look. Since the theme and color of the sticks were broad and full bodied. The veins and seems very very visible showing off a tough wrapper ready to put you into a headlock.
The Burn Part 1:
From the first few puffs there was an intense sensation of pepper a cedar notes. Some nutmeg notes made an appearance to go in with the combo. A bit of a low tone sweet and spicy combo. The pepper notes had more weight. Some outdoor earthy notes were somewhat in the background making it more like an engulfing flow of flame that was about to come.
The Burn Part 2:
At the 2nd 3rd, the pressure in my head started to build up. The intensity, I swear! My head was practically being put into a vice and the level started to crank. The Pepper notes became a little more broad and rough while the nutmeg became a little more gentler in notes. The earth notes became a little more stronger. At this point I was thinking to myself, was it a foolish gamble to start the month off with this stick.
The Burn Final:
Amazingly the draw is still pleasant and the ash is even burning to this point. Just when I was about to keel over, the pressure began to ease down. All the notes seem to down a bit and it was to a point where I could sit down again and draw some more pics for my portfolio. As far as the ending note from the last puff, the earth notes with the pepper 2nd and the nutmeg 3rd. I put it out in the ashtray and said, "Son of a Bitch..."
Verdict:
If you got balls, and the strength to wrestle with this bastard, this the stick for you. Be for warned though, you will feel the burn and strength of this one. Grab 1 and try it out.
