This looks pretty neat.
I think you should work on the seams a little bit--they seem rough and uneven, and it's the best thing to disguise them to make it look more naturalistic and finished.
Additionally, the jaw is uneven and a little bulky; if you can. cut it down and smooth it out a little bit.
The fur looks really soft and squishy :3

well there really arent any seams. the "gaps" on the side are actually the teeth and the lines down the front I drew that on with a marker... and I havent done the ears yet.
also the fur's all different lengths on purpose.
and the mouth is open.
and .... well there isnt much I can do about the jaw...
though I could trim up the fur a little.
but it's the eyes that are rediculously uneven.

I think if you want to go back and make it look more polished, you should have seams--or the equivalent. the ears just look quite untidy. It's better to take a lot of time on it and rebuild if you have to--it's worth it for a better fursuit. If you fix this one up, or decide to do another suit, I recommend patterning the head first and then sewing the fur underneath and then gluing it down; it looks so much more neat.
for the eyes, what did you make them out of?
I make mine out of successive layers of foamies, then air conditioner filter for the pupils.

oh the ears arent even done yet. I need to go buy the fur for them.
:/ I keep saying that and people dont listen... oh well.
o.O;; and how on earth am I to sew it?.. there's no possibility in the world I could sew it.... ... and I still dont understand... where do you see non-seams?... I would think it would look better without seams... I am really confused. could you clarify?
oh and look at the other views first kk?... it's hard to understand what you're talking about maybe you could point it out on another pic....
oh my eyes are pantyhose with marker on 'em. that's all.
XD first attempt!
thanks for the critique! I'm just lost on the whole sewing bit and how on earth that could be done....
then again, I dont know anything about sewing.

To sew it: when you have finished the base of the head (for example, the foam & plastic underskeleton, etc) you pattern it out. You can do this by wrapping the head in paper and then covering it with packing tape, or just by wrapping the head in duct tape. You can even just cut the pieces to fit and pin them down. Then, when you're done with the pattern for the head, you sew it from behind; this joins all the pieces together and, if done properly, makes a sort of "skin" that you can then glue down. This helps a head become more symmetrical and look neater.
:/ the only problem is the base isnt symmetrical... and I dont know how to sew.... not to mention if I screwed up just a tiny bit, the whole thing would be ruined. plus, I couldnt reposition things to make them look right, and, most of the time when you lay out fur you have to keep it cut in order to attach it on.
and on the whole entire website/forum I was on, not once did anyone ever recommend sewing for the head. they always said to use the tape as a cutting pattern. also, even if you did sew, the seams would be hard to trim and make lay down flat.
I think sewing for the head would be extraordinarily impractical and time consuming. then again when I made my head I had absolutely no planning whatsoever. not even a design. plus, I dont think it would lay right at all.
have you made a head before via this method? I dont see one in your gallery.
