This commission was inspired by two things; first off, the video game "Night in the Woods." I like pretty much everything about the game, from the characters, particularly Mae and Bea, to the setting of a small Pennsylvanian town in the fall. The second thing was a project I started this summer of digitizing old family photos, which as you might guess included plenty of Polaroids. In fact, their chemical aroma brought back plenty of nostalgia.

Tegon is wearing Gregg's getup from the game, and Alix's outfit and attitude is inspired by Bea.

For a few years now most of my commission titles have either been puns or references to music. I'll start noting here where they come from, and might go through my old ones to include that information. This title refers to a track of the same name on the Night in the Woods soundtrack, and I chose it because it helps to convey the nostalgia angle.
