Dunno if I wrote it down, but I like to cast da kommissar as a high ranking official of a secret police force. Absolute power corrupting absolutely and all that jazz. Just so you get an idea of the context.

With the brown coat and suspenders, reminds me of Mal from Firefly.
Very nice. The attitude of the character is well "spoken" through the body language. The subtle measures, such as the squared posture, the hand hovering closely to the opening of the jacket, and the already menacing nature of his pointed finger, makes it feel like this man is a hair's breadth away from opening up a can of whoopass, regardless if it is relevant to his latest adventure. Almost as if he's trying to stare down a would-be aggressor.

Now that you mention, it does have a very Firefly'ish look to it. I certainly see that as a sign that I'm on the right track here.
Also, nice to see that you were able to deconstruct that particular pose to the degree you did. I was just going for a bit of smugness and arrogance, but hell, given the power that he actually has in his position, arrogance really would come off as someone who'd be ready to gun you down, lop of your hands, remove your teeth, discard you in the sewer, and erase all records of your existence if you got too uppity with him. And to think, I didn't even intend for that to show through.

I think what gets me most about this picture is the subtle crinkle of the lip between the eye and mouth on the left. Nice n' snarky.
