This ain't a genderbend, it's her brother. In the story he is thought dead until thw end of the first major arc of the 4 the whole story would have. I was clear about his design when thinking it: just the same original color as her sister.

And you might think, "but Saphire's hair is white, and his brother's skin has a gloomy greenish tone". Titans (basically anthro dragons) use to have pigmentation depending of their elemental affinity, they both originally had the same colors (Saphire's skin and her brother's hair), and they both were hydro-mancers, but after some typical animu family drama (the same drama that killed their mother and almost this boy) Saphire developed cold relate powers alongside her water ones, and her brother gained some weird powers related to blood.
