We found this International Harvester truck sitting in a lot adjacent to a gas station in Caney, Kansas. There is a tank on the back for hauling some kind of liquid back in the day. I don't know the model year, but based on photos of similar vehicles, my guess is that it was made somewhere around 1933-36.

Old trucks, if they're fortunate, have two lives.
They serve their purpose until they're too old and worn out to justify keeping on the road anymore. That's their first life.
After that, they're turned out to pasture to live out their days as yard art. I've even seen some that became flower planters. They peacefully rust and decompose and eventually become local landmarks:
*talking to a tourist who's asking for directions*
"Keep going along this road and turn right just after you see an old truck sitting in a field on your left"
Old abandoned trucks never really die.
