I've got a random selection of scalemail patches lying around in my room, so I figured I may as well start posting what I've got in case people want to commission me.
From left to right:
-Yellow brass and stainless steel, small size scales
-Mild steel large scales. Mild steel slowly rusts over time. To see how well it rusted, I made this patch and left it out over the winter. I like how it ended up looking.
-Blackened stainless steel
I'm putting together a menu of sorts of all the types and materials of chainmail I can make for people. If anyone wants to wear some scales, send me a note.

The Ring Lord was the only company I found that did chainmail supply stuff. Their shipping is reasonable.
I used to make my own rings more, but I decided I really liked stainless steel, and since I would have to order that anyway I may as well just buy pre-made rings. But making rings is relaxing, I find. Of course, I've got really heavy-duty linesman snips, so it doesn't kill my hands too badly.
