And to just put this out there~ It's not a tattoo. The torso pattern is part of his fur.
Character I use the most, and often as sona, is Matabi. Full name is, Matabi Aquascale Snow. Depending on Matabi's mood, Matabi is either male, or female. Default is usually male.
Matabi has a wife named Lotus, who is a Milotic. Full name is, Lotus Aquascale Snow. Lotus and Matabi chose to gain each other's names. Lotus gaining Snow, Matabi gaining Aquascale. Lotus belongs to

Matabi has four daughters, his first is named Aella, Aella belongs to 
Brilsil. And the three he had with Lotus named Hana, Kate, and Aquarius. Kate and Hana are roughly a four and a half feet long already, and they both are naga like in their body structure. A humanoid top half with a serpent like lower half. Kate has her mother's eye in her right eye, it being red and black, and her father's in her left, it being green. She also has a black pattern on her torso like her father's, but it was of gaelic weaves instead of fire. The last half of her tail was like her mother's, multi-colored scales and a fan at the end. Hana is much like her sister in their similar naga like bodies. Her last half of her tail was just like her sisters, though the colors were a bit brighter. And her upper body was like her fathers, of an anthro snow leopard. At first glance, it would be very hard to tell them apart. But Hana's black pattern is different than Kates in that, Hana's pattern was of lotus flowers. Another feature that could tell them apart, was Hana's eyes which are entirely grey. Aquarius is a milotic of a much smaller size than lotus maybe around half of her size, her eyes are green with a tiny glow to them (only really visibly glowing in darker areas), and her scales are black and while and her hairs are the same color and pattern as a snow leopards fur.
Fun fact about Matabi~ He is immortal~ So he doesn't age~ A part of it is that he can die just like anybody else, but, he comes back 6 hours later with a new body~ He was born in 1762.
Another fun fact~ Matabi's tails are each 2 meters long. And weigh roughly ten pounds. All of which is raw fluff and softness.
Skills fact: Matabi is a master with a bow, and capable of hitting a moving target at 200 meters.
As far as occupation goes, Matabi works at the Blood Moon River, a bar that caters to all manner of being, from those as small as a mouse, to those as big as dragons. He supplies it with meats from a successful meat market he started some time ago, which is where he gets most of his income from.
Matabi has greyish black inside bits~
