I've been creating grateful speedpaints for over a year and one thing I'm reoccurringly grateful for are artists & people who inspire me, and I've wanted to create gifts for those people who have given me so much through their art, advice, or just pure presence in my world.
My fourth thank you gift goes out to Tracy Butler, the creator of Lackadaisy comics. How could I not love her work?!
Her stories are complex, the characters are charming, and all of her art is superb. She's also a role model for me as an independent artist.
Her tutorials are wonderful. I've learned a lot (& been entertained a lot) with them. They also make great handouts for my library class. I use them to teach kids the basics of character design and development. I've no doubt created many young Lackadaisy fans in this way XD

In 2016 I started journaling daily. Part of that writing process has been to write 3 things I am grateful for each morning.
I've been sharing these three things along with a speedpaint every Mon-Fri.
This practice has benefited me artistically as well as emotionally. My hope is, that by sharing these grateful speed paintings, you guys feel some of those good vibes too :) (Smile)
