Just Below the Surface
Lurks an Angry Creature
A creature filled with bitter hatred
It is Always an Inch Below the Surface
Like Fire it burns Across the Skin
A foot from Escape
And a Mile from Logic
The Creature wants to scream and yell
I must say
Part of me wants that too
Bit it is always just below the surface
Burning
Smoldering
Like fire
Across my skin
When will the rain come
Douse the fire
And Calm the Creature.
