I'm curious on the context.

Possibly adding another werewolf to their pack, the stake to the heart means that the dead one might be a vampire, and originally werewolves rose when vampires were killed.

...I thought it was the other way around.

As for a story, I read the pic as showing the pack (transformed under the effect of tonight's FULL MOON) finding the remains of a fellow pack-mate, who has recently been trapped [note the leg chain being held) and “put down” (note the crucifix-shaped dagger protruding from his rib cage) by a Werewolf Hunter (Van Helsing?).

I'd say the pack is howling mad and any inhabitants of any nearby village are going to be significantly fewer before sunrise.

They DO all look rather shocked / angry looking at the corpse there, so you may be pretty on the ball there

My guess is based on what I see and from years of dealing with werewolves.
