I wish I wore the badge that you drew for me at MFF 2007 more. If you recall,  dakotamalamute created acrylic holders for your badge and it was always too heavy. Now, I have an excuse to wear both this and your badge together in a new holder that can show off the beautiful artistic touches that both you and  blotch create!

wow say.. what age do you think you started taking art seriously? or at least thought to practicing to improve rather to draw because you're bored?

I suppose it wasn't until I decided to go to college for art that I really started to take it seriously. Before then, I just enjoyed sketching and drawing for friends or myself, but in school, I started to learn and refine techniques and find some sort of direction. Despite being finished with my degree, I'm still learning though--that's the thing with art, you're never finished figuring it out or improving. :]

I'm still really awestruck by this badge! You captured everything I wanted without even asking: a tranquil background, a curious expression, and a scarf that is somehow always doing crazy wavy things. The text scripture is also done magnificently well; the scan does not do that part justice! I see you did your research on the "proper" way that "S" is drawn, too!

I may have to redesign the badge holder I currently use for the one from  foxfeather to fit these two pieces of beautiful art together for the world to see!
