Sometimes they're just in no way afraid of people. Once watched one walk across a parking lot directly in front of me, hop into a garbage can, and then seem to notice me. Even after that it was just 'Oh hey. Want some garbage?' n_n

They're annoying. D: My aunt used to foster raccoons for wildlife rescues and I had to help her take care of one all summer when I went to visit her in Michigan. I was 15. Oh man... *I* ended up doing all the work while she got some rest time. XD Cute little creatures... but such troublemakers. :/ Getting a raccoon out of a dishwasher isn't fun! It also kept stealing ice cubes out of my glass, so I kept having to make myself new fresh drinks. Don't wanna drink raccoon paw germs!

Should drop by here, we've got a mother and at least three nearly grown kids showing up almost every night (and sometimes in broad daylight). Cute and all but at least once last year because Dad was keeping the basement door open the adult came into the house to get catfood straight from the bag after tearing up the screen and last thing you want is a raccoon certain your house has all the food it wants in it.

...and somewhere out there...a raccoon has posted a picture online of this metal box with lights on the front that seemingly came out of nowhere, there were some bright flashes of lightening and as quickly as they stopped, they soon after disappeared back into the night! =)
