This is a color piece I did of former USAF pilot Ketra Viktov, call sign Kestrel, several years ago. In the A&K Prime dreamscape Kestrel runs a private aerobatic and stunt company called Flight of Fancy along with her male otter assistant/ mechanic, engineer Nathan Marsh. On top of that she is also the main pilot for a mouse-size professional ekranoplan racing team sponsored by Mermaid Marine. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/683406/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/973536/ Nathan also assists her in that endeavor to.
She is an accomplished pilot and holds several world records, but her true dream is to go into space. In the A&K-1 she has succeeded in this goal http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1400508/ but in A&K Prime it has eluded her; however Mermaid Marine is owned by a larger aerospace firm that is involved in the International Space Station and they've told Ketra that could, maybe, possibly, hopefully get her her astronaut wings. If there was one thing I would do differently with this pose is I'd change the way the feet are locate relative to the rest of the character. They are somewhat awkward, but since did the piece in about five hours with no preliminary sketches I guess this stuff happens.

Have I mentioned that half the reason I like seeing new submissions from you is that they always have an accompanying backstory? I like reading about your different characters and world. Hae you thought about putting all this down into an illustrated compendium of sorts?
I don't know if I've said you're amazing more than... five times this year, but you are :) Yes, perhaps the front foot is just a little more bent round than it normally would be, but the detail that you have on the clothing and fur is just incredible. The detail on the leather jacket alone is really good, and combined with the fur collar, her own fur and the jumpsuit - you just have an amazing (I said it) ability to put so much detail and care into everything you do.
