haha oh wow this is a lazy, fast picture, but it serves its purpose. I drew it, carnivaldog inked it because he inks way faster than me, and I gave it the worst coloring job imaginable. I also drew him pretty cartoony/chibified since this is just mostly a color ref.

Backstory: Jive was a king of monsters, or at least, the closest thing he could find to monsters. Genetic freaks, the deformed, outcast because they were physical 'monsters'. Think two-headed cow people, the sorts you would see in an anthropomorphic sideshow.

When they found out their leader was a full-blown monstrosity, the sort of thing that would put a boogeyman-under-the-bed to shame, they tried to kill him. When that didn't work, they banished him. Probably after he devoured a number of them, I'd imagine.

He's a bit cynical and bitter due to that, but still considers himself the Monster King since nothing's come along yet that can best him.
