Yeah,another Okami fanart,I drew her as anthro this time.
Since the mirror is one of her main weapons, I think it's better to put it on the arm than on the back.
Okami doesn't really act like a female in the game, but I want to show the gender clearly with anthro form, so I drew a female pose.

It's strange that Issun refers to Amaterasu as "him" at several points in the game, but all of the gods call the wolf "mother to us all."
I suppose if you get right down to it, it wouldn't be odd for a female diety to use a male avatar. After all, Shiranui was said to be male in the opening story and thus, I suppose the statue of him would be male also. Then again, we probably will never know for sure.

I play a Japan Version.
In game. Many peoples talk to Amaterasu like a male. And many peoples talk to Amaterasu like a female.
I think the point depend on Shirainu. Because Amaterasu isn't indentify aboue his/her gender. But Shirainu is a normal dog. He gain a god's power and become Amaterasu. So I think his gender isn't change after he become Amaterasu. That why many peoples(The player) think Amaterasu(Shirainu) maybe male.
Anyway... Amaterasu that you play is a statue. I think A statue haven't a gender. ;)
For me... Amaterasu is male or female are not important to me. Because Amaterasu is CUTE!!!
One day. I will get a white dog. Then I will paint a red line on her body. ;p (Just kidding)
