If I remember correctly, the larger tank is the Porsche competitor to the Henschel designed King Tiger. Porsche kept attempting to make his own electric-gasoline drive and transmission system work, and as such used a modified version of the chassis from the elefant tank destroyer. It was not chosen over the Henschel design, due to issues with the drive train.
