Haha I think it would be a funny scenario if they are mounts :D I'm also working on a cute story of a kid having a pet slug (sluguenda actually) and she uses her as a slide and tries to ride her as well, but it's probably tricky because they are slimy x3 but yes they can hold it..

I think they are a bit between cats and dogs x3 but they do dumb and playful things, like dogs ans cats do XD

Well, it's not going to be done anytime soon, but me and some friends are actually working on a videogame. It's been our pet project for many years now, and we're still building the universe and lore, including flora and fauna. We have like giant spreadsheets of characters, places, animals, dragons, plot elements etc. Also have quite a few 3D models already, though no textures yet for most of them.

It'll have dragons and wizards and all the shenanigans, like a classic fairytale, and with (hopefully) a deep plot that branches based on your choices throughout the game.

But anyways, these molluscats are amazing and I just thought about how they would fit in to that universe as well :D

Same for ABZU if you like water and aquatic creatures. For ABZU though I would say don't get any spoilers on that game and just get it and play it yourself. Because it's more of a piece of art and is supposed to let you dive in for yourself and make your own opinion on it. Much like Journey (which is a PS3 exclusive title though ><).

Felis silvestris soleolifera. That should cover most of the wild and domesticated Molluscats.

Felis silvestris is the genus and species of a number of wildcats, with subspecies like the European, Scottish, Asiatic and African wildcats, It includes F. s. catus, the generic house cat. The group soleolifera contains the more common slug families.

Oh, and felis, of course is 'cat' (as you know), silvestris refers to forest or jungle. The family Soleolifera seems to be linked with a group called Veronicella, to the point that they're just descriptions for the same groups. I suspect both names come from researchers surnames. Anyway, Veronica might be a nice name for a Molluscat...

Maybe genus Felimax (portmanteau of the Latin words Felis (cat) and Limax (slug))?

I have a character who keeps slugs and snails as pets. A local nature center hosted "Slugfest" last weekend; I went at least in part because it's what she would do. :p

I need three, YESTERDAY! <3 These guys have become one of my favorites! Eagerly anticipate more, love all the animations too!!!! *geeks*

I have SO many questions about these adorable creatures!

Are they intersex/hermaphrodites, like snails and slugs?
How big are they, like house cats, bigger...? Are there many sizes perhaps, if so, how small/big do they get?
Does salt harm them?
Do they lay eggs or give birth to little molluskittens?

Yes they are herms and both get pregnant, though I refer to Sluguenda as female, as I feel it fits her, just my preference :)
They are quite big, I drew an illustration of my bf getting slobbered on by a huge sluguenda, but I like them tiny too, so it depends on the situation (just lik I sometimes draw my purple fursona as a big cat or a pixie :>..I can't seem to choose) but my preference is going to BIG, so you can ride them and its cute xD

YES salt harms them, Sluguenda loves crisps but she isn't allowed to have it, she will shrivel up XD
They probably lay eggs, and they carry their babies like opossums do :3
