I love love love Sarah & Duck!

It's so calming, sweet, whimsical... oh!

Every-time I watch it I feel childlike, open, receptive, a bit silly, and I love it!

So I decided to draw Ollie in that style... but the problem was... who could be Ollie's 'Duck'?

Quite right (says the narrator in his deep soothing voice) We can't just have an "Ollie" he would be lonely, and that won't do. No, what we need is an "Ollie & ..."

What about Nub, mister narrator? (squeaky Ollie in a cartoon voice)

Good idea Ollie. Let's see, he has the right 'Duck' world weary, occasionally silly, yet devoted friend, attitude I think. However... it's hardly his scene... we must think harder.

How about Kim? He loves Sarah and Duck! I know he'd be thrilled!

Oh yes, Kim is a good idea. He would be very happy here with us. Why not Ollie & Kim as you say?
Oh, what is it Ollie? Having second thoughts about Kim? He seems like a perfectly lovely choice to me.

W-w-well... I absolutely adore Kimmy, but he is a rather new friend, and ... don't you think some of my older friends feelings might be hurt if I left them out? Brook and Drifty, or Fiona who I am just getting to know... there's so many more too!

Oh dear, yes that is a question... you certainly don't want to make anybody feel left out. My goodnes, what will you do Ollie?

Yes, what is it Ollie? Have you thought of something?

Uh... huh. Ima draw everybody! Then we can be "Ollie & Friends" all together! I can't draw *everybody*... at least not all at once and actually finish this piccy, but I can keep adding friends old and new over time!
