My first experiment with using GIMP. This was originally a five minute sketch which ended up taking two days to get the layers, lines and colouring right in GIMP itself; I originally used MSPaint. The thought of using GIMP didn't cross my mind until after I'd used the Eraser tool to get rid of all the gunk around the image, for some reason...

I've had this character in my mind for a while but I've only just been able to draw him properly. I also decided that, in Lacey's world, everyone has the same fashion sense. <..<

Bio: Good things come in small doses
There was a time before Lacey stepped through that door to a certain coffee shop which would change his life forever. Back then, he didn't have any friends and didn't know what it was like for anyone to make the effort to talk to him. This is why he was astounded when he heard a very small voice, and it took a while to realise that this firefly was actually talking to him.
Ash comes from a very large family, typical for such an insect, and so his parents had great difficulty keeping the entire family in order. He often had alot of time to himself, so he spent that learning the manners and skills he would eventually be passing on to Lacerta himself. Some say that he made Lacey who he is today. He lives by the river Lacey used to sit alone at to think to himself.
