You all know damn well that I'm afraid of gho-...Yeah alright whatever okay.

Fucking hell, where do I start...
The Brackish are a ghost type monster that will occasionally appear when it rains heavily.
Although primarily female, there has also been spotting of male Brackish too.
Unlike most spirits who tend to appear in whatever they died in, Brackish will always be wearing a flowing whiteish garment of some sort.
They will also sport extremely long hair and open mouths, their tongues swollen and teeth rotted.
It is said that the Brackish are created when someone dies via suffocation or drowning in a extremely brutal fashion.


The Brackish are easily identified via their movements, they're often found floating among the rain drops as their clothes and bodies move like they're caught in some underwater current.
They are just as easily identified through their ragged breathing and choking...like they're gasping for air but not really doing anything else about it.

Now, despite their lazy appearance, they are still moderately fast.
If they set their sights on you, they'll start swimming through the air to grab you.
It is said that the Brackish are constantly wanting air, even though they don't really need it at this point?
What they'll do if they catch you...They'll quickly latch themselves onto you, making sure you can't get them off you effectively before they start sealing their mouths around yours.
They then suck all the air out of your lungs while at the same time coughing foul water back into them.
Basically, they make out with and drown you.

Luckily, they can only move in the rain or where ever there is a good amount of moisture.
So if you wanna avoid them, just hang out somewhere dry and they can't get to you.
Hell, just do what I do and sit in your car until it gets bored.

Anyway, should you have to fight them, I suggest either having an Alchemist Knight with you or a priest from the Order of the Wheel in the Sky.
Unfortunately for most of the Knights, ghosts and the like cannot be harmed with physical attacks...However an Alchemist's potions are close enough to magic for it to be effective.
An Alchemist should be able to douse the Brackish in ice grenades, effectively freezing it and containing it until it can be banished with a Holy Grenade or potion, easy as pie.
However a priest can attack it outright and banish it with a blessed weapon.
Kinda annoying that they won't bless our weapons though.
