So far, almost $200 has been raised in less than 24 hours. It's definitely a start! Thank you to those who have already donated!
We don't know when Rocky's surgery is going to be, but it will be either today or tomorrow. We've opened a new line of credit just for this. We considered amputation as it's a much cheaper option... but Rocky loves running. While he could eventually adapt to a 3 legged run, this was a freak accident, and the vet assured us that the kind of break that this is, while severe, can be recovered fully from in 8 weeks. The only reason for him to lose his leg is a financial one, and for him to lose it just because I'M a loser who struggles to make minimum wage, that's not reason enough to.... saw him apart. We just couldn't do it to him when he can and will make a full, complete recovery.

If I wasn't a student living dollar to dollar I would donate for sure. Animals are important to us and so incredibly honest and special. I would fight tooth and nail if Saga needed surgery to save something like that. It's so right how you put it too, it feels terrible if they suffer because of us because while they will not understand what's happening, you will always remember it xvx. It's heart-wrenching.
Even when I had to put Saga on a diet because she was getting fat, she was giving me the most accusing gaze. The kind of "Am I not being a nice enough dog? Here I will be nicer and spend more time with you" ;v;

Sent a small donation. I know how this feels. Last year we had a similar problem with a horse at the stable where my horse lived. We all pooled funds to get him the surgery he needed and now he is doing just fine. No living being should loose a leg just because it is too expensive to fix.
