Did I mention that I love Timon? It was just a matter of time before I brought him to life in SL. I waited so long because I needed to be sure that my building and texturing skills were good enough. The most difficult part of this AV was making the stripe textures for the back.

I've always wondered why the character designers at a certain Studio in Burbank gave their meerkats those silly, "Doggie" ears. Now I understand that they are just parodizing real meerkat ears which lie close to the critter's head. You've got the 3-D look to the face just perfect.

To Goodbye-Cupcakes: I build these avatars in a virtual world called Second Life, which has its own building program that people use while they are logged in. I don't know how it stands up against other 3D modelling programs, but it's not the most user-friendly, and took me a while to learn.
