Gloomy, awesome, suspenseful all at the same time

I'm not very sure about suspense, but gloom and awesome are things I always try to include in my songs, and I'm glad you could find that and more.
The finished song will take long, i may even do another thing with it, but ill let you know when I finish it.

Interesting drum beat. It wouldn't be possible to play on an actual drum kit, but I did a lot of that in my older stuff, so I guess that doesn't really matter. I'm not sure it fits though. Everything else is kind of slow paced, and the drums feel like they're moving faster, which isn't always a bad thing, but it doesn't fit with the established flow of the song.

That's just my opinion, you can push me off the nitpicker's soapbox, now. It's good work, though. Keep playing with it, you'll get something eventually.

Hey thanks for the constructive critic, I always love critique and I appreciate it a lot. And yeah it's true, the drums I use in my songs are almost always impossible to play, because I decided to sacrifice realism for the sake of Better sound.
And yeah, I too noticed that the song felt kind of slow after I removed some instruments , I guess I should add them again or find an alternative to make the drums fit better, good observation there, it's going to help me to have a better finished product.

I don't see how you couldn't play the drums. I've seen and heard many, many drummers play some crazy stuff. With one hand. And they got 4 limbs that they can use.
Umm.. Do I even dear to ask if this bass is real or virtual? :o

Well, maybe a very skilled drummer, but there are many layers of hats and toms all at the same time, so I guess it would be kin of difficult...
and yeah, the bass is virtual, it's not that good, but it has some note ranges where it sounds good.

Ok I see. Maybe I was wrong.

This reminds me SO much of the Tales Of series of games -- one of my very favorites of all time, with music by Motoi Sakuraba! I really really am looking forward to the finished version of this.

P.S. I personally like the drums quite a lot because they remind me of the dungeon songs in that series -- however that's just me.
