Very beautifully written. I like how you managed to quote the movie and make it all tie in nicely to the scene where Gideon and Judy meet up again after so long. I do feel a little sorry though for Travis, but them' the brakes and it was nice of another predatory couple to take Gideon in when he needed a family, that was very sweet and the addition of Dr. Honey Badger was great too.

Yeah, I made sure that the story starts where Gideon leaves the movie, and ends where he re-enters. That was planned from the beginning.

I kinda hated to do that to Travis, but I needed something to show where Gideon could have ended up.

Much like adoption and foster agencies do today, they tried to match him up with someone who would be able to understand him better. Coyote seemed the right choice, since they are very adaptable, and live just about anywhere, are a predator species, and rather maligned.

I was originally going to make the therapist a new character, but when I reviewed the background of Madge I realized she could easily have been a psychiatrist, since the trouble seemed to be with the minds of the predators in the movie.

You really given this story some thought and that I really appreciate.

Everything about this seemed carefully planned and I saw the connection with Madge, as she must have been at the asylum, more to observe the predators' mental state, so making her a psychiatrist made sense.

Indeed, I never would have wanted poor Gideon to wind up being like Travis did.

I will fully admit that my heart melted when I saw that scene on the big screen for the first time back last March, I'll bet everybody though felt the same and it was a genius idea to have somebody introduced as a seemingly minor character, only to come back as being redeemed and advances the development of Judy's parents and eliminate their 'vulpinephobia'.

The directors have expressed surprise at the popularity of Gideon.

He was such a well thought out character. I'm surprised that they're surprised, but it does explain why we haven't had much in the way of Gideon Grey merchandise yet. Me and  bobbythornbody are still waiting for an official plushie of him to be made.

This is wonderful! I always say, the mark of a good written story, is to be able to see it in your minds eye as you read. I did! Tha k you for sharing this with the world. I feel a connection with Gideon as I was a loaner in my youth, not a bully, but noone liked me.

Very well written and you got his speech pattern down. While all not so bright upstairs, he certainly knows his way around the kitchen and ovens. Sometimes a person isn't so bright with numbers or words, just need to find the right mixture to have the best plan going forward.
